Sensors |
Duncan sensors are a vital
part of the Cadillac StabiliTRAK dynamic chassis control
system. An analog, or voltage-based output determines
steering wheel position, using an integral gear train
and thick film resistive sensor design. Digital output
is also achieved via an integral Opto-ASIC encoder, all
in the same compact sensor unit.

Precision
steering sensing in one degree increments provides the
signal to microprocessors to detect and correct deviations
between intended course and the actual course of the vehicle.
This sensor is an excellent example of Duncan's match
to the stringent manufacturing and reliability standards
such a device requires for driver safety.
